SwabSURE ListeriaP is a rapid, direct test for the presumptive detection of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria ivanovii on food contact and environmental surfaces. The test uses a turquoise color-change (chromogenic) technology that does not react with non-pathogenic Listeria species such as L. innocua, ensuring accurate differentiation.
Each swab features a polystyrene shaft with a breakpoint and a pre-moistened foam tip in neutralising buffer. Validated by Campden BRI and compliant with ISO 18593:2018 when used with sampling templates (e.g., TS/15-T40).
Recommended use:
Food contact surfaces
Environmental surface sampling
Ideal for:
Differentiating pathogenic Listeria (L. monocytogenes, L. ivanovii) from commensal L. innocua
Complementing ISO 11290-1 detection methods
Additional benefits:
Inhibits background flora including Bacillus spp., Enterococcus spp., Micrococcus spp., Klebsiella spp., and E. coli
Limitations:
Intended only for surface sampling
Not suitable for direct contact with food (item must be discarded after use)
Not authorised for other applications
Shelf Life: 12 months
Sterilisation: Gamma irradiation (SAL 10⁻⁶)
